The Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas is the sponsor of the Rotaract Club of People’s Campus, which was founded on 1st March 2011, with Rtr. Prasanna Tamrakar serving as the charter president during his college years. The club was founded with 29 members and adopted the motto “Fellowship through Service.” In 2012–2013, Rtr. Tamrakar carried on with his presidency. One of the yearly events of the club was a blood drive, which was held at its founding. There were planned basketball, swimming, and rock climbing competitions among other sports. A nationwide recognized inter-school chess tournament was held, and Kantipur Television covered it. The People’s Campus Rotaract Club carried out its flagship project, “Education Dolpa,” during the 2014–15 Rotary year, and received several awards. By holding the Club General Meeting at the Mardi Himal Base Camp, which is located at a height of 4,800 meters, the Rotary Year 22–23 club made history by adhering to club meeting protocol and inducting new members. Every year, the club organizes a gathering where Rotary Rotaract members can connect with one another. On 1st March 2024, the club celebrated its 13th charter day. At the same time, it hosted one of the Rotaract District 3292’s major district events, the “17th Rotaract District Assembly and District Leadership Training Seminar and Recognition Ceremony.” During this event, the club was named a “Vibrant Start Club” among Rotaract District 3292’s clubs. The weekly meeting is held every Friday at 4:00 PM and is typically held in People’s Campus.
