On 8 December 2025, the Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas successfully organized a food distribution programme at the Manavsewa Ashram, Samakhusi Center. This initiative was part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and extending support to those in need.
The programme witnessed active participation from dedicated club members, who came together with a shared spirit of service and compassion. Their presence and involvement ensured that the event was carried out smoothly and with genuine care for the beneficiaries.
During the programme, a total of 51 individuals residing at the Ashram – helpless and marginalized members of society – received freshly prepared food. The distribution not only provided immediate relief but also reflected the Club’s broader mission of promoting dignity, kindness, and solidarity among vulnerable groups.
The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Board of Director, Rotarian Capt. Harak Singh Thapa, whose contribution played a pivotal role in bringing the programme to fruition. His support exemplified the Rotary spirit of giving back to society and inspiring others to join hands in service.
