A school building handover programme was organized on Wednesday 15th March 2017 at Kusum Bhanjyang, Biruwa rural municipality – 7, Syangja, Nepal. A single story; containing 3-rooms school building of Shree Jeevan Jyoti Secondary School was built under “Nepal Post-Earthquake Rural Area School Rebuilding Project”. The overall project was funded and supported by the Rotary Club of Kirriemuir, District 1010, Scotland, United Kingdom (UK). The school re-building project hosted and coordinated locally by the Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas, District 3292, Kathmandu, Nepal.
During the school building handover programme, seven members from the Scotland (Rotary Club of Kirriemuir, District 1010) were attended. Likewise, 12 local member (Rotarians and social workers from Kathmandu) were also present in the event. The project was lasted for six months and been completed which contains three rooms, desks, chairs, benches and toilets. The project was coordinated by Rtn. Siri Gurung, Past President of the Rotary Club of Himalayan Gurkhas, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Rotarians from Scotland; distributed various school materials to the school management committee and educational toys to the small children.
