DG Official Visits 2023-24
District Governor’s Official visits programme held on Sunday, 10th September 2023 at The Malla Hotel, Lekhnath Marg, Kathmandu. The programme was organized in two parts. First part was the DG’s official visit and second part was 20th Charter Day Celebrations. District Governor Rtn. Rajendra Prasad Dhoju was the chief guest of the of the event.
The DG’s official visit programme was started with confidential meeting. After the confidential meeting, Club assembly conducted by DG Rtn. Rajendra Prasad Dhoju. District Secretaries Rtd. Dinesh Manandhar and Rtn. Durgadev Subedi were also present the in the programme. Likewise, Assistant Governor Rtn. Debendra Lal Shrestha and Charter President of the Club Rtn. Major Gopal Bahadur Gurung, MBE were present the programme.
All the five committee chairs presented their report to the DG and DG commented on reports and provided valuable feedback to make sharpen the club activities.

All the charter members of the Club; were felicitated by the DG offering Khada. Also DG handed the Certificate of Appreciation to all the donors who had donated to make success Brigantes Virtual Relay Charity Trek to Summit of Everest organized Rotary Club of Harrogate Brigantes in aids of Wellspring Therapy, Carers resources and Covid 19 relief in July 2020. Likewise, DG handed over the PHF pin to Rtn. Major Yam Bahadur Gurung, BEM.
Club President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri presented Token of Appreciation to the DG and flower bouquet to the First Lady Samira Shrestha Dhoju.
On the second part of the event, again the Chief guest was District Governor Rtn. Rajendra Prasad Dhoju. IPDG Rtn. Jitendra B. Rajbhandari, PDG Rtn. Ratna Man Shakya, PDG Rtn. Tirtha Man Shakya, PDG Rtn. Sanjay Giri, PDG Rtn. Chintamani Bhattarai, PDG Rtn. Rajib Pokharel, PDG Rtn. Yogendra Man Pradhan, DG Elect Rtn. Rajendra Sherchan, DGN Rtn. Binod Koirala, DRFC Chair Rtn. Kumud Tripathy, Grant Review Committee Chair Rtn. Shiba Bhakta Rajbhandari, Technical Advisor Rtn. Rajesh Thapa, Past AG Rtn. Ambika Shrestha, Past AG Rtn. Lalita Thapa, Past AG Rtn. Milan Bikram Shah, Past AG Rtn. Manoj Kandel were attended the function. Rtn. Major Lil Bahadur Gurung, MBE presented a brief history of the Club and various projects that has been successfully completed by the Club.
Further, DG Rtn. Rajendra Prasad Dhoju released the ‘Souvenir’ which was published on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the Club. DG congratulate the Club and its members for celebrating 20th Anniversary. He further thanked to the Club for implementing tremendous services projects over the period. Also he emphasized to collaborate with District and other clubs as well while implementing the projects. DG Felicitated to Capt. Yam Bahadur Khatri (father of President Rtn. Bhoj Bhadur Khatri) for receiving ‘Prabal Jana Sewa Shree fourth’ from the Rt. Honourable President of Nepal.
In between, Interactors and Rotaractors performed number of dances and made the environment entertaining. Past President of the Club Rtn. Siri Prasad Gurung delivered the vote of thanks at the last and President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri delivered his speech and adjourned the programme. Master of Ceremony of the event was Rtn. Sadikshya Kandel.
