21st Installation Ceremony for the Rota Year 2024/25 of the Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas held on Saturday 13th July 2024 at Hotel Le Himalaya, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. In the installation Ceremony, Assistant Governor (AG) Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan was the Chief Guest from the Rotary International District 3292 Nepal-Bhutan; and Immediate Past Assistant Governor Rtn. Debendra Shrestha was the Guest of Honour. Past President of the Club Rtn. Siri Prasad Gurung delivered welcome remarks and warmly welcomed all the participants including Chief Guest, Guest of honor and other Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors; He further introduced incoming President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri to the Chief Guest and other participants.
Chief guest AG Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan offered Collar (Mala) to the new President. Likewise, Charter President Rtn. Major Gopal Bahadur Gurung, MBE handed over the Charter Certificate to the incoming President and IPP Rtn. Satta Bahadur Gurung handed over the Gavel and Gong to the new President Rtn. Mr Khatri. Chief Guest AG Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan further conducted oath taking ceremony to the new President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri. President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri introduced his Board of Directors for the Rotary Year 2024/25 and he further conducted oath taking ceremony to the newly formed Board of Directors and standing committee chairs.

Charter President Rtn. Major Gopal Bahadur Gurung welcomed two prospective members in the programme. President Rtn. Bhoj B Khatri felicitated incoming and outgoing president of Rotaract Club of People’s Campus Rtr. Sabin Parajuli and Rtr. Parina Shrestha. Likewise he further felicitated incoming and outgoing president of Interact Club of Valley Public School Itr. Rufash KC and Itr. Aditi Paudel. In the meantime, Charter President Rtn. Major Gopal Bahadur Gurung handed over the Certificate of Recognition to Itr. Aditi Paudel and Itr. Payoja Aryal for achieving 4.0 GPA in the SEE 2080 examination.
Chief guest AG Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan launched the new website of the club www.rchimalayangurkhas.org.np and Chair Public Image Rtn. Rum Gurung briefed about the website and its contents.
Further, President Rtn. Mr Khatri presented Token of Love to the IP AG Rtn. Debendra Shrestha (for the Year 2023/24). IP AG. Rtn. Mr. Shrestha thanked to the President Rtn. Mr. Khatri and all board of directors for their tremendous support during his tenure. Chief Guest and Assistant Governor (AG) Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan addressed the installation ceremony and emphasized to go through Rotary Central platform. He is hopeful for better implementation of the club service activities in close coordination with RI District 3292. Past President Rtn. Krishna Adhikari delivered vote of thanks in the Programme. He thanked to the RI District 3292 for their valuable guidance and support for the implementation of the club activities.
