21st Charter Day Celebrations of Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas is successfully concluded on Tuesday, 10th September 2024 at Hotel Le Himalaya, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. District Governor Rtn. Rajendra Man Sherchan was the chief guest for the event.
The DG’s official visit and 21st Charter Day Celebration programme was started by confidential meeting with Club President, President Elect, Club Admin Chair and Secretary. After the confidential meeting, the formal programme was started. District Governor Rtn. Rajendra Man Sherchan conducted Club assembly. All the five committee chairs presented their report to the DG and DG commented on reports and provided valuable feedback to make sharpen the club activities in future.

President Elect Rtn. Capt. Mohan Kumar Gurung introduced new member Major Dilli Kumar Gurung and Club Admin Chair Rtn. Sadikshya Kandel introduced another new member Rtr. Pareena Shrestha. Assistant Governor Rtn. Arun Man Sherchan inducted to both new members and District Governor Rtn. Rajendra Man Sherchan handed over the Club & Rotary pins as well as Rotary publications to newly inducted members.
DG’s introduction video was played to introduce him to all the participants of the event. Then DG Rajendra Man Sherchan addressed in the event. He advised the club to make hundred percent PHF club and further emphasised for TRF contribution. He also requested to collaborate with the District to implement service projects. Also suggested to make use of social media to disseminate the club activities. Further, Club President Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri handed over a Token of Love to the respected DG Rtn. Rajendra Man Sherchan. Charter President Rtn. Major Gopal Bahadur Gurung, MBE briefly described about the club charter history.

Arun Man Sherchan (2024-25) and Rtn Debendra Shrestha (2023-24), DRFC Chair Rtn. Kumud Tripathy, WS subcommittee Chair Dr. Dinesh Manandhar, District RI Committee Chair Rtn. Durga Prasad Subedi were also attended the function.
Past President Rtn. Krishna Adhikari thanked to everyone who supported to make success his event at the end of the program. Rtn. Sadikshya Kandel was the Master of Ceremony of the event.
