District Governor (DG) Official visit and 16th Charter Day of the Rotary Club of the Himalayan Gurkhas was celebrated on Tuesday, 10th September 2019 at Hotel Shangrila, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. At this function, Chief Guest was District Governor (DG) of the Rotary International District 3292 Rtn. Mr. Kiran Lal Shrestha. Likewise, RID 3292 Secretary Rtn. Mr. Rajendra Kumar Dahal, Assistant Governor (AG) Rtn. Mr. Milan Bikram Shah, IPDG Rtn. Mr. Chinta Mani Bhattarai, PDG Rtn. Mr. Ratna Man Shakya, PDG Rtn. Mr. Tirtha Man Shakya, PDG Rtn. Mr. Rabindra Piya, PDG Rtn. Jaya RL Shah, PDG Rtn. Mr. Sanjay Giri, District Trainer Rtn. Mr. Jitendra Rajbhandari, District Grant Subcommittee Chair Rtn. Mr Shiba Bhakta Rajbhandari, Urban Environment Subcommittee chair Gen. Mr. Sarad Neupane and Mr and Mrs Pahalman Gurung; Director Bhatbhateni Supermarket were present at the function.

Different subcommittee chairs presented their achievement and plans for the year 2019/20. DG Rtn. Mr. Kiran Lal Shrestha said that Rotary Club of the Himalayan Gurkhas is the one of the strong and committed club in the valley. He shared his happiness seeing the progress of the project initiated by the club. Most of the members are from the retired Gurkha solders. DG told that Gurkhas never retired and the Club has maintained it as well.
Most of the club members with their spouses were present to celebrated 16th Charter Day.
