On 3rd July 2025, a team from Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas visited Ghami Basic School in Ghami, Mustang. The purpose of their visit was to assess the school’s needs for a new water and sanitation project. This initiative will include the construction of a modern, accessible toilet facility at the school, under Global Grant.
Discussions were held with key stakeholders, including Mr. Raju Bista, Chairperson of the Lo-Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality; Mr. Pemba Gurung, Chairperson of the Construction (Users) Subcommittee; and Mr. Pahal Man Thapa, the school’s Headmaster. The Rotary team also engaged with students, teachers, and members of the local community.
The visiting Rotary Club members included Club President Rtn. Capt. Mohankumar Gurung , IPP Rtn. Bhoj Bahadur Khatri , PP, Service Project Chair and AG Rtn. Siri Gurung, PP Rtn. Gurung Satta B, and PP Rtn. Narayan Prasad Gurung Koney.
